Organization

These are my Organizational Projects, in progress, broken down by zone:

Zone 1: My Closet

Overflowing with clothes, shoes and bags strewn about - right now it's as chaotic as my brain. I LOVE having a clean, friendly closet, but at this moment it's downright beastly.

The Plan:

1. Eliminate & donate  clothes that don't fit me, or clothes I don't wear. (I should be left with next to nothing!)
2. Create outfits with the clothes that are left. Hang in outfits.
3. Shop for completer pieces to bring the entire wardrobe together. I found a really great site that has cute, modest clothes! Pinned on my "Things I should be wearing" board: http://pinterest.com/mcascio/things-i-should-be-wearing/
4. Remove bed (used for when Jeff was working nightshift): place in Isaac's room for a guest room.
5. Fix uniform area: buy shoe rack for uniform shoes, and make a board to hold all the blues shiny things and ribbons. (Don't laugh at me, I'm seriously that neurotic)
6. Buy/Make dividers for top shelf of closet. Sort of Jeff's shirts and my jeans and skirts that are hanging out up there.
7. Get a storage box for Jeff's stuff. Right now he has his photos and stuff in shoeboxes. I'm determined to change that, and while he is gone will be the perfect time!
8. Create space for my work "bag" - aka the heaviest burden on earth. When I do my reserve weekend, I carry around this 40-lb bag that is everything I might need to 1) reenlist someone, 2) write an EPR/Medal on the fly, 3) Provide proof of any training completion within the past year...you get the idea. I like to keep it with all my uniform stuff so nothing gets lost!
9. Shoe space: Jeff's shoes are somehow in our closet. They need to have more room (because his feet are big, yo) and I'm determined to create an economical solution that will create room for his shoes, and everything else!
10. Put up some wall hooks to hang my bags/purses. That should free up shelf space!
